What you can pay me to do

Despite the fabulous wealth and café lifestyle my books have brought me, I still sometimes work on other people’s books. It’s among my favorite things to do, and I’m very good at it.

If you’re looking for somebody to rewrite or edit your book, or if you want to do the work yourself, but need an experienced editor to read it and let you know what it is that needs to be done, get in touch.

I prefer to work on novels, but I do non-fiction as well, primarily memoirs. If you need a ghostwriter, I might be the person you’re looking for; I don’t do more than one a year, but it can’t hurt to ask.

Please note: Do not pay me or anybody else to work on your book on the assumption that you’ll make your money back when you sell your book. Everybody likes to think that their book is going to be a bestseller. Almost all of those people are wrong. You might be the exception, it’s true, and I really hope you are, but do not borrow against your royalties yet. I can help you get your book into the best possible form, and I can help you to communicate exactly what you want to say, but neither I nor any other editor you might work with can guarantee you the fabulous wealth and café lifestyle (see above) that I currently enjoy.
